Yosemite over Memorial Day

We drove to Yosemite this weekend, neither of us have ever been. Mumford and Sons, Mattafix, and Jack Johnson's September Sessions were the only tunes we brought along. I finished On the Road-Kerouac, it was fun to read about an epic road trip, while on, an epic road trip.
The only thing we ate for 4 days was sour dough bread, sharp cheddar, salami and a jar of peaches. Needless to say we had the runs, which was very inconvenient in the woods and necessitated an ice bath in a river (I will spare you the details).
Our supposed ten hour drive mushroomed quickly when we found the Nevada entrance closed and had to drive 4 hours to the other side, only to find the park was inundated with holiday traffic and shutting it's gates on the Cali side. This is what led to our discovery of Hetch Hetchy, the only accessible option, which was amazing. Don't worry, we eventually were admitted to the main park, see pics below. IF YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN TO YOSEMITE, YOU MUST GO, IT'S AMAZING!!
