Sundance

The latest and greatest at the van Rij's is the Sundance festival. We have been jumping through hoops to buy locals tickets for several years now. We love the cinematic magic of the festival, the quirky shorts and harrowing documentaries. We love the director's commentary, meeting people from all over the world, and even the cold! We have only spotted one star together (a hobbit, not even sure which one!) mostly because we stay in the valley for screening. Last night we saw "It's a Wonderful Afterlife" which was zany and weird but had the greatest Carrie reinactment.

Tonight we are off to see "The Killer Inside Me", who knows, maybe Kate Hudson will make an appearance!

Happy Birthday Elli-bro

Elliott turned 22 today, our baby brother is growing up so fast! Happy Birthday Elli-bro! We celebrated as a family by going snow shoeing at Silver Fork. It was a beautiful day, the snow was shimmering, fresh pine smell, and so sunny that everyone peeled off their gloves and jackets. We finished this fine day with a feast at "New Delhi" in Sandy. Tandoori chicken, plenty of naan, curry and masala, I highly recommend this restaurant. If anyone is ever up for round two of "Winter wonderland-Indian Fever" just hollah. Josh and I will be scopping yard sales for our own pair of snowshoes.

Our little Liam is loads of laughs. I caught him napping in the strangest position, LOL is all I have to say!

Extreme Makeover-Office Edition

For over two years, my office has been bare, very bare. You would think my mother would have taught me better, she has a degree in Interior Design. My excuse is the waves of clutter that occupy my office, the Sub For Santa gifts or the cans of food; part of my job is running charity events. Once an event is over I just want my office to be clean and simple. Recently, after it was all cleaned up someone asked me if I was moving. I thought to myself, "I need to decorate." I speant the next week cutting pictures out of my Pottery Barn catalog, taking undercover pictures through the blinds of offices I thought were cute, and digging around my dad's basement. Now it aint no page out of Arcitechtural Digest, but it's looking pretty cozy.
