Valentines Day at Capitol Reef

This Valentines we cozied up in this shed/cabin in Torrey Utah. Highs were barley 40, but our love kept us warm, and the cabin had a heater. Not a bad deal for anyone that is interested, only $30 per night.

Torrey is just outside of Capitol Reef, this was both of our first time exploring the park. The snow is striking against the red rocks. We didn't anticipate as much snow as there was, but it was beautiful and not too bad to hike in. Once you get your blood pumping it's refreshing.

Did you know there are 14 National Parks and Monuments in Utah? Or at least overlapping into Utah. We counted them up as we tapped our favorite recreational map back together on the ride there. We decided to visit as many as possible this year, even golden spike. Josh is most excited about a grizzly bear grave up by Flamming Gorge and Kate is most excited about raspberry jam days at Bear Lake.
